I'm trying to get all of my Montgomery posts out, they are a little dated at this point and I just haven't been feeling well enough to finish them (Insert sick GIF here ;)). I finally got to see one of my favorite plays performed by an actual company. I've wanted to go to the Shakespeare Festival for a while, but because of travel and children it wasn't really in the cards. I got to see A Midsummer Night's Dream! It was awesome, the cast was phenomenal, and it was also Shakespeare's B day.
This park is where the theater was. It was also were the museum was. Did I mention that one of the ways to get there was through the back lot of an apartment complex and the entrance was through a shady metal fence? Again, freaking Montgomery.
We went to the Montgomery Museum of Art. The benches were always placed in front of small works, not the major centerpieces of the room, that's all I'm going to say. The fountain above reminded me of our "satanic fountain" in Birmingham Southside. Turns out it was the same artist. I thought the fountain and animals were super cute. A pic of our local fountain is below with a link. I used to walk past this thing everyday.
Below are random pics of downtown.
