Summer is finally sizzling away in all of its humid glory. It's been hot in Alabama for a while (as expected) but we've had more cool nights than normal. Those nights have actually been spent NOT writing.
Today is Summer Solstice and The Strawberry Moon. It all sounds so mystical and outdoorsy. All I hear is "Let's go pick strawberries on the longest day of the year...in Alabama". Fuuuuuuuun.
I just need some cool water to chill out in and I think I'll get over the summer grumpies. Speaking of summer grumpies, this may be why I have them:
-July Nanowrimo camp is coming up and I still have to outline a book i'm already 15,000 words into writing.
-I have a couple of comics hovering over my head I HAVE to read because I do Comic Saturday on my Instagram. It's actually a nice break from reading novels though. The visuals help me escape a bit.
-I found out this was Penny Dreadful's last season before being able to watch the series finale. Thanks internet.
There are a lot of good summer things coming up. I just have to snap myself out of this slump. At least it will result in more writing. Sorry if there aren't more posts on regular/geek stuff. It's gonna be a summer full of book reviews :).
